Three of Swords is Tasha Tonks's traditional tattoo parlour in Halifax's north end, crisp linework, strong color, and a warm, plant-filled studio where everyone who loves good tattooing is welcome.
We built this place in a century-old Cunard Street storefront and filled it with plants, antiques, and hand-painted banners. The work is unapologetically traditional, bold outlines, clean color, designs that still read decades from now. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments are encouraged; either way you get our full attention and a spotless setup.

Three of Swords
After years tattooing across Canada and the US, Tasha Tonks came home to Halifax and opened Three of Swords one block from where she lives. She rebuilt a long-running Cunard Street music shop from the studs into a parlour with a point of view: traditional tattooing, done with care, in a space that's genuinely welcoming. She's also known for the painted banners she makes for the shop, the first batch sold out in ten minutes.

Share a reference or a rough idea. We talk through concept, placement and size before anything is booked.
Your piece is drawn for the spot it will live on, then refined together until it is right.
A clean station, a steady hand, and a comfortable pace from first line to last.
Clear care notes so a fresh piece settles and heals exactly the way it was drawn.
